Jupiter Announces 2nd Airdrop Test Link

Authors

Jupiter is considered to be one of the first major projects to airdrop in Q1-2025, currently users can check the number of tokens received through the project website.

Jupiter, the decentralized exchange aggregation platform (DEX) on Solana, has launched an airdrop testing tool, which allows users to check rewards before an airdrop event Upcoming “Jupuary”.

The event is designed to expand the ecosystem and attract more users to Jupiter, which is expected to distribute 700 million JUP tokens, or more than $575 million at the price of $0.83 at the time of writing.

The total of 700 million JUP tokens will be divided into three main groups:

  • The largest group is users, consisting of individuals who have used Jupiter products, especially token swap transactions. The group will receive 440 million JUP tokens.
  • In addition, 60 million JUP tokens are allocated to those who stake Jupiter tokens.
  • The remaining 200 million JUP tokens will be dedicated to growth initiatives and encourage users to hold or stake tokens in the long term.

According to Jupiter representative Kash Dhanda, about 2 million wallets will be eligible for the airdrop this time. However, not all receive rewards, and some eligible wallets may receive less than last year.

Dhanda stressed that the wallets that received this year's airdrop are highly likely to be real users, able to participate in DAO governance and contribute to building a decentralized future.

Jupiter's airdrop allocation system is designed based on a variety of criteria to ensure fairness and encourage users to truly participate in the ecosystem. The Swap Score is the main factor for determining the allocation of JUP tokens. This score is calculated based on USD-adjusted trading volume, along with the user's trading performance compared to others in the system. The higher the score, the greater the allocation.

To be eligible for airdrops, transactions must be made between November 23, 2023 and November 1, 2024. However, the transactions of bot wallets, wallets that trade mainly on low-liquidity pairs, wallets that operate for less than 3 weeks or show abnormal signs will be removed.

Users are divided into tiers based on transaction scores, ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 8. Each Tier has a specific point threshold and corresponding JUP token allocation level. For example, a Tier 1 user with 10 million points will receive 20,000 JUP tokens, while a Tier 7 user with 1,000 points will receive 50 JUP tokens. This decentralization helps ensure that those who contribute most actively to the ecosystem are rewarded deservedly.

To receive his allotments, the user needs to create a personal profile on the platform. This is a necessary step to ensure that the receipt of tokens is done properly and transparently. Jupiter's allocation system not only encourages real participation but also eliminates invalid or poor quality trading activities, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable community.

It is because of this strict condition that many users who do not receive tokens are disappointed even if there are transactions on Jupiter.

Jupiter held its first airdrop in January 2024, distributing 1 billion JUP tokens to nearly 1 million wallets and is considered to be one of the largest airdrop events of 2024. The next Jupuary event will be held in January 2026, according to Jupiter DAO's latest proposal. The start date for receiving JUP tokens is expected to be announced next week.
